Does it make sense to have different states hold primaries on different days?

Yes, because if we decide on a single date who the nominee is, we are basically voting blind because we hardly know anything about them without a long campaign. There are some recent nominees who did not do well in the early primaries, so it is like deciding a championship tennis match on a single point and deciding the World Series on one innning.
