Interesting books to read?

Well i'm not much of a reader but i'd really like to start reading books I think it will help me learn new words and expand my knowledge. I'm not fussy to be honest, but anything that's like interesting or funny i'll read it. An interesting auto-biography or any kind of funny book. Maybe something to do with underdogs I tend to like those (but that doesn't mean only talk about books with underdogs because I don't want to be stuck with one type) and lastly make it something I can download as a PDF because I seriously don't want to spend my money when i can get it for free! (and don't add links because im sure that would get this question deleted)
