Are there physical differences between mare and female horses?

Well, other than the obvious. Are males larger in any aspect generally or physically larger? Are male heads larger or any bones in the face larger or shaped differently? I've been trying to draw horses more realistically and want to know if there are any gender-distinguishing things I need to add (besides the obvious for males). Thank you :)
