Lesbians and gays: have you always liked the color pink?

We hear the pink pound be associated with gays. Most little girls seem to love the color pink without prompting but most boys don't, So in a sense this can be considered a psychological gender test. I just wondered if there really is a strong correlation between color preference and sexual orientation for homosexuals distinguishing them from heterosexuals.
