I'm a sensitive teenager and i felt like i was bipolar because i would be sad over things i would have seen or heard. I am considering studying electrical engineering at uni but I'm not sure if its the subject for me. Why was Ramanujan so stubborn in studying math only?

He would badly fail all the courses except for math alone. In math he would be at the top most level and best in the entire college. Well i'm not much of a reader but i'd really like to start reading books I think it will help me learn new words and expand my knowledge. This came about because my mom played the Oldies station all the time in the car. Back when Oldies meant music from 1955-1965. So this would be a pretty young age, I dunno 6, 7? After The Beach Boys I got really into DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. This was due to a kid I went to day care with when I was about 9? A couple of months ago i started to hear voices . I always seem to hear them as soon as I get in bed. I do not hear anything during the day. 1997 Explorer 4.0 SOHC idle noise?

I have a 1997 Ford Explorer, with the 4.0 SOHC engine. The vehicle is 4 wheel drive if any are wondering. After turning over at a cold start, the vehicles starts fine, it revs to about 1300rpm, then back down to idle at around 700-750, after idling for about 5-10 seconds, it drops to around 525-550, and it begins to sputter, i can give it gas, and after it's warm it stops. Heres another question, at its normal idle, the engine makes it's typical noises, but when putting it in drive (putting the engine under load), I get a clanking/rattling from the lower crankcase, just above the oil pan. This same vehicle has a new engine, as the old one's timing chain tensioners went out. I'm hoping a Ford Technician can give me some ideas on might be wrong, cause ripping the old engine apart was a PITA! It doesn't quite sound like they're bad yet, but perhaps the tensioner is warn? Or maybe its something in the lower end (main bearings), its definitely distinguished to the lower end of the engine. Any ideas?

Help! My parents won't let me drive!?

I'm 15 (turning 16 in 4 months) and have yet to learn anything about driving. I have not been to drivers Ed and my mother said I can next summer (around the time I turn 17!) and when I'm done with drivers Ed I will have to wait 6 months to get my licences! And then after that I can only ride with an adult! I'll be 17 and having to ride with my mom everywhere! And after I get my licences I'll have to wait another 6 months before I cam drive by myself. Hmmm 18 and I finally get to drive on my own! I hate it! I go to a really small school and know for a fact everyone in my grade (sophmore) has taken drivers Ed already and some are get their licences! One of my friends already has a CAR! Homeward bound. I say this, because most children under the age of 12 (Boy or girls) love animals. And the fact that they talk, and are own their own is an inspiration. If you have seen it, you will know **spoiler** one of the dogs appears to die. But comes back (So a happy ending). Pulmonary Embolism question?

I had bi-lateral pulmonary embolisms 5 months ago post-op and was hospitalized for a few days. My symptoms were 9/10 pain, could not move due to pain, shortness of breath, low sats, tachycardia, etc... The Doc said the pain should go away within 4-6 weeks. Since then, I have had the usual "zingers" of extreme pain which only last for a few seconds, and an ache of about 2-3/10 pain which comes and goes almost on a daily basis. But I have also occasionally been having signs of new PE's as well. This has happened about 3-4 times over the last 5 months, each time getting worse. Yesterday I had the *exact* same symptoms as my original PE with 9/10 pain, dyspnea, shortness of breath, etc... and But here is the kicker. These "attacks" are temporary and yesterdays episode only lasted about 10 minutes or so and left as quickly as it came. These are debilitating and cannot move or breath while I have them. I have to sit in a semi-tripod position and take very short, shallow breaths to keep the pain down. I have been treated for pleurisy (which I don't meet the criteria for but willing to try anything) and cannot distinguish the symptoms between my original PE and these episodes. However, I know that symptoms of a PE don't just "go away" like mine have been. I really feels like I have a sudden blockage of my vessel which breaks loose and allows blood flow again. Perhaps scar tissue or left over PE, I have no idea but am a Paramedic/Firefighter and return to work this week and CANNOT have this problem while on duty. My Doc doesn't know what is going on (she has referred me to yoga and acupuncture. I am looking for a new Doc right now) and need to get this problem fixed. I have searched the internet tirelessly and haven't found anything remotely comparable to my symptoms. Any thoughts?

However, the beauty queen thing makes you a novelty, so you've got a decent shot at a top school based on that and the combination with great grades and test scores. So i just watched the new guy with my friend last night and the movie was hilarious and its got me searching for movies that are similar in genres, elements, and plot. Im looking for a ten drama movie that focuses on the underdog of the story who is able to change themselves and their situation becoming popular and wanted. Is it bad that i use my imagination as an escape?

Ok, I can distinguish between fiction and reality. I have a pretty good social life, i have friends and do talk to them, but i sometimes i go into my own world. Sometimes I think of a movie or book and in my mind i change into how i want it to happen, or i even imagine outcomes of events that happen to me. I feel safer when i imagine things, maybe its because i have a slight trust issue and can't trust people easily and even if i do trust them i still find it hard to fully trust in them. But when im imagining outcomes and stuff i feel i dont need to worry as much. Is it bad that i use my imagination as an escape?

Unemployment Question?!?

So here is the story. I have an older sister who has been battling depression for a long time. I got a phone call to get the hospital back in Sept 2010 to get to the hospital ASAP that my sister hurt herself. I was out of the office on my lunch break. I immediately headed there. What was I suppose to do? I had an emergency. So while at the hospital I emailed my temp agency that I had a family emergency. The email failed to send because of a wrong email address so I forwarded the email to the company boss that the temp agency had me working for immediately that same day. So I thought all was well because they didn't call or email me back yelling. Well the next day I sent another email to DHL the company I was working for through the temp agency asking for a few days off because I was overwhelmed with what was going on & needed to be with family. That was 9/22 I sent the second email. Needless to say they called me back & fired me. So they told unemployment I had quit on 9/22 but I sent unemployment office both emails with the date, time, subject, & body of the email.What does everyone think? Will I have to keep fighting or will Unemployment see that I was fired unjustly & the company lied? I can't believe the company would lie like that to avoid paying me unemployment. I am just now filing too because I had no idea I could get unemployment for being fired. A friend actually told me to file! So that's why I am just now filing for it incase that makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I find my job to be an insult to my intelligence. The flowery job description was nothing but fluff. I am perpetually bored, and when I do work, it's only to keep me busy. I worked hard to get my Electrical Engineering degree from a highly distinguished university. Yet, I could have done this job out of junior high. Needless to say, I am bitter. How to slow down a pony's trot.?

I have gotten into a business deal with a lady I've known for years. We are selling a 14 hh Trakhener/Welsh cross. I had ridden him for her a few years ago, so I am familiar with him. He is very talented to be such an underdog. He's gone through training level eventing and he is really talented in dressage. However, there are two problems with our flatwork. 1) Since he is a pony, he does have very short, choppy strides when he trots. How can I help this? I have tried pushing him forward with my leg and seat, but he just speeds up. I need him to at least slow down his steps. Ideally, we could lengthen them as well. 2) Our canter is fabulous, but unfortunately our canter transitions are not. I can't seem to set him up well for neither the up or down canter transition, but I don't usually have problems doing that with any other horse. He's just very different from the horses I am used to riding.

I'm going to be a freshman in high school in the fall, and can't wait to try out for the fall play. However, I am kinda freaked out. Why is my refrigerator not cooling?

This morning when I came in the kitchen I noticed that my refrigerator door was open a SMALL bit. I noticed that the items in the fridge had formed condensation on the outside. Nothing was spoiled but it was just not normal. So I closed the door and came back hours later to get a bottle of water and the fridge didn't seem to be getting much cooler. I looked in the freezer and there did seem to be some ice crystals toward the back of the freezer but not underneath the pan at the bottom of the freezer. I looked in the fridge and there is no leaking or water anywhere, but there is condensation at the top of the refrigerator near where the lightbulb is and back behind that. I can hear the fan working in the freezer and it does sound like the fan is working in the fridge but I can't distinguish if it is just the loud freezer fan or the fridge fan that I'm hearing. I am not sure if this is caused by the fact that the door was left open or by something else. Does anyone have any suggestions? Of course we just went grocery shopping and would hate to have to take everything out and thaw the fridge if this was just caused by the door being left semi-open. Any advice would be appreciated. Oh, and we have a Roper by Whirlpool fridge with the fridge on bottom and the freezer on top. Thanks in advance for any help!!! :)

Does it really seem likely that the writers of the Bible were unable to count the number of legs on insects?

On that the Bible is not the only old book where insects legs were miscounted, as you put it. The other books have illustrated drawings to label what they called the legs instead, and the Bible does not. With out a clear cut idea as to what they were referring to, it is hard to give them the benefit of the doubt. Personally, I take it that either they were unable to count based on hunger or injury to the critter in question. Face it, if you hunt down a grasshopper, pulling a leg off here and there can and will happen. You also tend to miscount when hungry, it make it harder to pay attention.

I know that there's programs only for elementary school teaching ...but what if I wanted to teach middle or high school? I like the idea of teaching elementary school because I'd love working with little kids and it doesn't seem like you'd have a ton of grading to to. I think it would be cool to be a history teacher or an english teach too...or even geography. Can teachers changce what subjects they teach? Yes. He was a drunk driver that several other drivers, including myself, had forced off the road. I had grabbed his keys out of the ignition, and he was stumbling out onto the traffic on the busy interstate highway to try to walk home. He was big enough and strong enough it was hard to restrain him even with 3 men trying, so I decided it would be better if he was helped into a sleep-like state. It took several hard jabs to the jaw to drop him, and he landed a couple of good blows that fortunately had bad aim. if you're running an exodia deck, best thing to do is to focus on draw power more than anything else. you want to win the duel as fast as you can by milling your own deck. some of the cards are great for stalling and stopping your opponent but you should also consider putting in more draw power cards. however, i am seeing an exodia necross and the ultimate forbidden lord so maybe you want to use them to build up a strong force and toss away your exodia pieces. to rate it, i think i would give a solid 7.

I hate to keep on touching on the subject of CM Punk but...?

why is everyone saying he shoot was" Obviously fake because he didn't mention going to TNA". Now I believe it was a worked shoot as much as the next guy but just because he said he want going to TNA doesn't mean anything. He worked in TNA before, TNA treated him like trash so he doesn't want to work there again. The reason he didn't mention TNA was for that reason, not because WWE didn't want mention of TNA. I guarantee you WWE has no problem with mentioning TNA(and they don't for an obvious reason. They know they are doing better so why should they worry about a rival business.)
